About Us
Mansfield Giants Basketball Club, founded in 1990, is the premier basketball club in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. We offer competitive basketball sessions for male and female players aged 6-18, with specialized programs for various age groups. We are affiliated and accredited Level 1 Basketball club with Basketball England.
All of our coaches are qualified, safeguard trained and hold an enhanced DBS, we believe in offering a safe and fun environment to play basketball, with the welfare of our young people a priority.

Our Events
Basketball Sessions
We cater for 6-18 year old male and female players across various sites in Mansfield and on various days.
We have around 140 young people that access the Club.
We also offer one of specials of Glow in the Dark Basketball as well as Wheelchair Basketball sessions.
Camps
We run a range of school holiday camps in mansfield aimed at 6-16 years of age.
The sessions work on skill work as a player and as part of a team. It’s mixed gender. Sessions are split based on age and stage of a child basketball development.
We do partner with Express Coaching Services.
Fixtures
We run various teams from U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 that all play in competitive leagues both locally and across Nottinghamshire, as well as teams that compete in the Basketball England National league.
Our Teams
We try and offer a competitive outlet for all our teams, whether it’s locally, regionally, national or inter club. We are always looking for new players and will never turn a player away from playing the game, this is the reason we offer various levels of the game.
U10
The Giants Next Gen team compete in the Notts Mini League.
We also host inter club tournaments where these teams compete and travel away to play other teams as well.
Girls Development
The Girls Development team compete in the Sheffield CVL once a month and also competes in our inter club tournaments. The club have also hosted teams across the region to play friendly games against this team, they include Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Sheffield.
U12
There are two teams at the U12 age group.
The Elite team competes in the Notts Open Mini League. They have also competed in the NBL.
The Rising stars team plays in inter club tournaments and friendly’s against other clubs.
U14 Boys
There are two teams at this age group. We have a team that competes locally in the NWA Friday Night CVL league and competing in the BE National League – North Pool III, playing games across the region and into south yorkshire.
U14 Girls
The U14 Girls will compete as friendly’s plus will be combined with the U16 Girls NBL & Local league teams. The team also plays friendly games in Sheffield, Leicester and Derby.
U16 Boys
The Under 16 boys team will be competing in the U16 NWA League. The league is every Friday in Nottingham in the evening, games normally tip off at 7.50pm.
U16 Girls
The Under 16 girls team will be competing in the U16 BE NBL League – Midlands Pool. They will also compete in local league every Friday in Nottingham in the evening, games normally tip off at 7.50pm.
U18 Boys
The Under 18 boys team will be competing in the U18 NWA League. The league is every Friday in Nottingham in the evening, games normally tip off at 8.50pm.
