Amari was a 13-year-old coming into Mansfield to start his basketball journey as a U14 Player with the club! Playing in the Notts Mini League, combining football and basketball at 11 years old beforehand. He chose to come along to Giants and never looked back.
Guided by our coach Dan Richards, who coached Amari at both U14, U16, and senior Men for Giants. Dan, a professional basketball player, national team player for England, and a coach for England U17 team, was extremely proud of Amari, knowing he would make it, who helped to build the foundations of his basketball career.
There are only a handful of clubs in the UK, three to be exact, that will ever help generate an NBA player in the UK, and we are beyond proud of Amari!
